Who they work with on EDC
Who they are and what they do

The facility manager takes over the building when it is finished and runs it for years: keeps track of equipment and assets, schedules routine maintenance, and fixes faults fast so the people inside are not affected.

The building lives with them for 30 or 50 years, and running and maintenance cost far more than construction. Their success is fewer faults and a building that never stops.

How EDC helps them

In EDC they receive the COBie handover file and the model, with every piece of equipment, its make, warranty and manual. Tapping any equipment on the model shows its history, and maintenance and faults run on the digital twin.

They receive the COBie data and every equipment manual and warranty from the project itself, without gathering them from scratch. Every fault is logged on its element, so they spot the unit that keeps failing and replace it before it breaks down.

What you can do
  • Receive COBie and the model at handover
  • Find any asset and its warranty in a tap
  • Plan maintenance and log faults
What you gain
  • No lost manuals or warranties
  • Faults fixed faster
  • Lower running costs
