Who they work with on EDC
Who they are and what they do

The sustainability engineer cuts the building's energy and water use and picks materials that harm the environment less. They prepare the green rating file, such as Estidama in Abu Dhabi or LEED.

In the UAE and Saudi Arabia a green rating is now a permit condition on many projects. Points are gathered from thousands of documents, and if one is lost the point is lost.

How EDC helps them

In EDC every material on the model carries its environmental data and certificate, and every credit is tied to the documents that prove it. So they see how many points are secured and how many are missing.

Procurement is warned before buying a material that would lose a point, and site uploads photos of waste sorting. The submission file comes out ordered to the rating body's requirements.

What you can do
  • Track the green rating points
  • Tie each point to the document that proves it
  • Warn procurement before a wrong material
What you gain
  • The rating without surprises
  • A building that uses less power and water
  • A ready submission file
