Who they work with on EDC
Who they are and what they do

The procurement officer gets materials and equipment to the project: asks suppliers for quotes, compares them, issues the purchase order, and makes sure delivery arrives on time before site work stops.

Any late delivery stops the site, and any wrong purchase wastes money. So they need to know what is needed and when, well in advance, and which supplier is approved.

How EDC helps them

In EDC they see the quantities needed from the model and the schedule, so they know what to order and when. Suppliers answer on their own portal, and material approvals and deliveries are tracked until received on site.

The materials needed come to them from the schedule before they are due, and no purchase order goes out for an unapproved material. Each supplier carries a rating from past deliveries, so the choice is based on facts.

What you can do
  • See what to order and when from the schedule
  • Compare supplier quotes side by side
  • Track each delivery to the site gate
What you gain
  • Site never stops waiting for material
  • Better prices from real comparison
  • Every order traceable
