Who they work with on EDC
Who they are and what they do

A subcontractor takes one part of the work from the main contractor, such as waterproofing, aluminium or electrical. They build it with their own crew, ask for inspection, and submit a payment claim for what they finished.

Their work usually waits for someone else to finish first, and their money waits for their work to be inspected. So they need to know when an area is ready and whether their work was accepted.

How EDC helps them

In EDC they see only their part of the project, with the quantities asked of them and the method of work. They log progress and ask for inspection with photos, and their claim is built from work actually accepted.

They sign in with their own account and see only the part of the project that concerns them. When a snag on their work is closed and the inspection is approved, it shows straight away in their payment.

What you can do
  • See only their scope and quantities
  • Log progress and request inspection
  • Build the claim from accepted work
What you gain
  • Paid faster with no disputes
  • Clear scope, no surprises
  • A record that wins the next job
